This document ensures transparency and defines the obligations of both parties in doorstep collections, air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, and parcel delivery.
We are committed to providing seamless, efficient, and reliable logistics solutions while ensuring compliance with international shipping laws and customs regulations. This document ensures GCL remains a facilitator in freight forwarding, removes liability from GCL, and assigns responsibility to the courier for any loss, damage, or disputes. All liability rests with the courier handling your package.
We ensure all collections are handled by reputable, licensed, and insured couriers in each respective country.
Customers may choose to post their shipment to our facility or request a doorstep collection service hereby enjoy our negotiated discounted rate.
GCL only partners with trusted premium courier services to ensure safe and secure handling of all shipments.
Collection services are available for domestic and international shipments, including air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
Customers must provide accurate collection details, including pickup address, package dimensions, and full contents declaration.
A confirmed booking is only valid after payment is received.
Collection times depend on the availability of courier partners; GCL does not guarantee exact pickup times.
GCL reserves the right to refuse collection if the shipment contains prohibited or restricted items.
If a service has not been paid for and the item is lost, the pre-invoice compensation is zero.
GCL assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or delays before the package is delivered to our facility.
If a package is lost or damaged in transit, liability remains with the courier handling the collection.
For health and safety reasons, GCL does not handle claims for damages caused during collection by the courier. Any disputes must be raised with GCL, who will communicate with the courier on behalf of the customer.
If the customer selects “No Protection”, they acknowledge and accept full risk for any loss or damage.
GCL’s maximum liability for collections and deliveries is £20, as outlined in our terms and conditions.
Customers may opt for shipment protection by selecting “Yes, Protect My Collection”.
If protection is selected, the customer must declare the shipment value, and GCL will notify the courier to arrange comprehensive coverage.
If “Yes, Protect My Collection” is selected, this ensures 100% coverage under the courier’s insurance policy.
Compensation is governed by the courier’s protection policy and associated terms.
Additional insurance coverage is available upon request.
Customers must truthfully declare the shipment’s contents.
GCL does not transport Dangerous Goods (DG) or prohibited items.
Customers bear sole responsibility for any legal or financial repercussions arising from undeclared or restricted items.

If the courier denies responsibility or fails to offer an acceptable settlement, our internal team will escalate the matter to our insurance provider for review.
Compensation is subject to the courier’s terms, insurance policy conditions, and our internal investigation.
If the claim remains unresolved, GCL will liaise with the insurance provider to determine the final outcome.
Collected shipments are transported to GCL’s warehouses or partner facilities in various countries.
Upon arrival, shipments undergo customs clearance, forwarding, or last-mile delivery processing.
Any discrepancies between declared and actual contents may lead to delays, additional handling charges, or regulatory penalties.
GCL ensures full compliance with UK customs regulations, international trade laws, and freight forwarding protocols.
Shipments entering or leaving specific jurisdictions may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and additional regulatory requirements.
